I think we shot birdshot after questioning the RO's if it was allowed

I used birdshot on the first 5 plates (the run where you had 5 shells and 5 plates, no reload.) because I didn't bring enough 00 shells for all four courses.

I trust buckshot to knock down poppers more than I trust birdshot.

Obviously you're right but the poppers were set so that birdshot would drop them Even 20 Ga would knock them down as we were told.
